D.R.E.A.M ABOUT DOGS

D.R.E.A.M was born in 2025 after 15 years of private self-funded dog rescue by founder George Lista.

As a personal passion project, it was never branded or advertised, there was never a need to promote the volunteering and rescue cases until now…

“It’s a we thing, not a me thing.”

The name of the rescue is D.R.E.A.M which stands for Dogs Rule Everything Around Me. Removing ego and making it all about the dogs and the people who dedicate themselves to helping them.

This website is an amateur DIY attempt and this first logo attempt was created without a graphic designer. We are currently seeking help to develop the concept into a professional logo that will allow us to create clothing and other merchandise to help raise funds.

Charity Registration in 2026

With support and guidance from the National Council for Voluntary Organisations (NCVO) we plan to formalise this project into a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) which will be registered with the UK Charity Commission.

Please note that any donations received are never ring-fenced just for dogs, at any moment we may need to help a hungry or injured bird, cat, fox, pig, horse… whilst the priority for this project is dogs, if funds allow, other animals will always be helped where possible.

Rescue Transport - Buy or Rent

Once we complete this process, the hope is that we can find funding and donations to purchase (or rent) a suitable transport vehicle to get our current rescues out of kennels and back to the farm land where they run free and safe. Grateful for any support.

The sooner we achieve our transport target, the sooner we can release Eddie, Luna and Sosis from the temporary foster kennels

Building Our Dog Refuge

Once we have our transport budget, we can begin to develop the temporary refuge on the farmland we have secured. The initial plan is to expand the paved areas, improve fencing, security and build insulated enclosures where the dogs can be comfortable whatever the weather outside. We have a long way to go.
